Accreditation Factsheet
The Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) Program is deeply committed to providing the highest quality digital forensics services to the law enforcement community. Therefore, the Program supports the American Society of Crime Laboratory Directors/Laboratory Accreditation Board (ASCLD/LAB) accreditation to further enhance and strengthen the services offered by all of the laboratories in the program. This accreditation is awarded for a five-year period.

A Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) is a computer forensics laboratory and training center that is devoted entirely to the examination of digital evidence in support of criminal investigations.

NJRCFL Legal Authority Statement
The New Jersey Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory requires all cases to be provided with written documentation of legal authority to conduct the search/examination of the media submitted. In cases where a search warrant or written consent to search is not provided, this form will document the legal authority is present necessary to conduct the procedures requested.
