Substitute Teacher Charged with Possessing Child Pornography

6/8/11: Substitute Teacher Charged with Possessing Child Pornography

The FBI's Buffalo Division announced the arrest of Timothy Bek, 25, a long term substitute teacher for the West Seneca Central School District, and charged him with possessing child pornography. Mr. Bek's arrest followed an investigation initiated by the FBI Buffalo's Cyber Task Force (BCTF). A BCTF member, the Buffalo Police Department, is also a participating agency in the Western New York RCFL, who is providing digital forensics expertise to investigators.

If convicted, Mr. Bek faces a maximum prison sentence of 10 years and a fine of $250,000. To learn more about the ongoing investigation — click here to read the FBI's press release.
