Prison Time for Man on Drug and Porn Charges

A San Diego man who sold 250 grams of cocaine and received obscene material on his computer was sentenced Friday to more than 11 years in federal prison. William Edward Fessler, 37, also known as Kareem Montano, had been charged with distribution of cocaine base and transportation of obscene matter. He pleaded guilty July 1. Fessler's 135-month sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw.

SAN DIEGO - A San Diego man who sold 250 grams of cocaine and received obscene material on his computer was sentenced Friday to more than 11 years in federal prison.

William Edward Fessler, 37, also known as Kareem Montano, had been charged with distribution of cocaine base and transportation of obscene matter. He pleaded guilty July 1.

Fessler's 135-month sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Dana Sabraw.

The case against the defendant stemmed from an investigation by the San Diego Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, whose members include the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the San Diego Police Department, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, the Chula Vista Police Department, the U.S. Attorney's Office, the San Diego District Attorney's Office, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the U.S. Marshals Service, the Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory, the Defense Criminal Investigative Service and the El Cajon Police Department.
