6/15/11: Authorities Seeking Public's Help with Crimes Against Children Investigation — Orange County RCFL Processing Digital Evidence Associated with Case

The Orange County District Attorney's Office, a participating agency in the Orange County RCFL (OCRCFL), is seeking potential victims of Mandak Kahn Griffin, 30, of Cypress, who is accused of sexually assaulting three boys, ages 7 – 9.

According to a press release issued by the Orange County District Attorney's office on 6/13/11, in addition to assaulting the boys, Griffin also exchanged thousands of child pornography images over the Internet. It was during the joint-investigation of child pornography conducted by the Orange County Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement team, and the Cypress Police Department, that authorities learned of Griffin's three alleged victims. Authorities sent all electronic media lawfully seized during the investigation to the OCRCFL for processing.

Griffin is charged with one felony count each of sodomy with a child under 10, one felony count of oral copulation of a child under 10, one felony count of possession and control of child pornography, and one felony count of using a minor for production of obscene matter. If convicted, Griffin could face 85 years to life in state prison. He is currently being held at the Orange County Jail on $1 million bail as the investigation continues.

Anyone with additional information or who believes he or she may have been a victim, is encouraged to contact Supervising District Attorney Investigator Randy Litwin at 714-347-8794.
