Thanks in part to video and photographs, a Dallas teenager is in police custody for the beating and sexual assault of a library employee. The North Texas RCFL (NTRCFL) analyzed the video showing Ricardo Jourdan, 17 walking down a hallway in the Kleberg Rylie Branch library. He followed the victim into the library after she went to her car and reentered the building. Jourdan is seen leaving the library three minutes later, allegedly after beating and raping the victim. The NTRCFL analyzed the video which was released by the Dallas Police Department, a participating agency in the RCFL, for broadcast by local media outlets. Tips provided by the public helped lead to the arrest of Jourdan at his home; he is currently being held in the Dallas County Jail on $150,000 bail. The victim was released from the hospital and is recuperating from the attack. The Dallas Police Department is continuing their investigation.
