As part of its Continuing Education Series, the FBI's Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory (RCFL) Program is offering a free Webinar to members of law enforcement and government agencies entitled "Decoding Digital Evidence: What Every Law Enforcement Officer Should Know." During this two-hour live event, participants will hear from top experts about –
- Current trends in digital forensics including the most popular and unusual sources of digital evidence such as smartphones, tablets, gaming systems and how best to handle these devices
- Utilizing the power of social media and other investigative measures during criminal investigations with a special focus on Crimes Against Children
- How video forensics is aiding criminal investigations, and best practices for handling video equipment
- Major legal considerations surrounding digital evidence.
Because of the sensitive subject matter, registration is required and only certain materials are available to law enforcement personnel, government agency employees, or Infragard members.
