NJRCFL Legal Authority Statement
The New Jersey Regional Computer Forensics Laboratory requires all cases to be provided with written documentation of legal authority to conduct the search/examination of the media submitted. In cases where a search warrant or written consent to search is not provided, this form will document the legal authority is present necessary to conduct the procedures requested.

Please fill this out if you have attempted to KIOSK your cellular device and/or loose media. This must be submitted with your Service Request form for any cellular devices and loose media.

Cell Phone Investigative Kiosk (CPIK)
The FBI’s Cell Phone Investigative Kiosks (CPIK) allow users to extract data from a cell phone, put it into a report, and burn the report to a CD or DVD in as little as 30 minutes. The kiosks are physically located in selected FBI Field Offices and Regional Computer Forensics Laboratories (RCFL).
