1/12/2012: Saudi College Student's Trial Postponed

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, 23, the Saudi citizen who attended South Plains College near Lubbock, Texas, will go on trial for attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction on May 14, 2012. The North Texas RCFL (NTRCFL) is supporting the investigation. On 3/9/11, Aldawsari was indicted by a grand jury and entered a not guilty plea in federal court. Press reports stated that Aldawsari was considering using the bomb on several area landmarks including dams, nuclear power plants, and the home of former president George W. Bush who lives in Dallas.

If convicted, Aldawsari faces life in prison and a $250,000 fine. Press reports stated that Aldawasri's attorney will file a notice saying that his client is insane.
